Supported Community Living (SCL)

In-Home Assistance That Helps Adults With Intellectual Disabilities Achieve Independence

Advantages In Life’s Supported Community Living (SCL) program provides in-home assistance for adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them reside and thrive in their environment. The goal of this service is to help our clients remain independent while growing their abilities to live on their own.

Our team helps each adult with daily living skills in their home and out in the community, structuring the services to meet their strengths and needs. Our team can provide these services on an hourly basis or round-the-clock, depending on a client’s need level.

Staff members can assist with:

  • Skills training
  • Cleaning
  • Community integration
  • Other supports to achieve overall health and social well-being.
  • Assistance with scheduling and managing medical appointments
  • Menu planning, grocery shopping, and budgeting

  • Supervision for safety
  • Assistance for members with coping skills and mental health exacerbation
  • Advocate for members’ needs
  • Assistance with budgeting and finances in the home and community
