Advantages In Life helps Iowans with intellectual disabilities and acute mental diagnoses flourish in their environments by providing a range of personalized home and community-based services.
Our services allow Iowans who have intellectual disabilities or acute mental health diagnoses to live and grow in their homes and communities, rather than at an institution. The caring staff and volunteers at our organization provide care and support through three main programs.
Our host home program connects our clients with caring families and individuals who open up their home to provide a safe, loving, and supportive living environment.
Our supported community living program provides in-home support on an hourly or 24/7 basis for our clients, assisting with daily needs.
Our habilitation service program helps our clients live successfully in their home or community-based settings through education, training, community integration, and more.
For more than a decade, Advantages In Life has been helping Iowans who have intellectual disabilities thrive in the environments they are comfortable in.
We are certified to provide home and community based services to adults 18 and over under the Intellectual Disability (ID) and Habilitation Funded Services waivers. Through a range of services, our dedicated and caring team helps the Iowans we serve receive the personalized care, help, and support that they need.
